Fall Foliage

This was my awesome fall day outfit that I put together all on my own...whoop whoop, lol. Anyway, this was very comfortable, the sweater and the tights really kept me warm and of course I felt like I looked like a bazillion bucks without paying that much. I paired with some patent leather flats and was out the door running around campus :-)

Sweat-Proof Make-up

1. Keep shine controllers handy.

A smooth, matte makeup look won’t last long if you’re going to be exposed to the sun or partaking in any kind of physical activity. That’s why shine reducing tools like blotting paper and oil-control rolls should be a mainstay in your purse or everyday travel beauty kit. If you prefer not to blot your makeup, try a shine control moisturizer or gel.

2. Don’t shy away from tints and stains.

Invest in a few lip and cheek tints or stains to extend the life of your makeup while on the go. They last longer than a regular blush shade or lip color. For the lips, try to avoid creamy lipsticks. If you do rock them, use a sealant over the hue. Don’t own any cheek tints? Try using lipstick or a lip tint to do the trick.

3. Primers are a girl’s best friend.

If you want long-lasting makeup, you have to use makeup primer. Not only do they help makeup stay on your face longer, they prep the skin by creating a matte, oil-absorbing palette before application.

4. Embrace tinted moisturizer.

Sometimes a fully made-up face can actually feel too heavy especially in superhot weather. For a lighter formula with good coverage, use a tinted moisturizer.

5. Oil-free is the way to be.

Substitute oil-based products with liquid, gel and powder formulas. For eyes, many of the kohl pencils are wax-based which melt or are more prone to running in humid weather. To combat this, opt for gel and liquid eyeliners. The same applies for foundation and concealer. Look for oil-free cosmetics with ingredients such as silica, a mineral that reduces shine.

Create Peace

Wore this a couple of days ago, thought it was cute and simple. Can't stand getting overdressed for class, though maybe a few of you may beg to differ :-)
Shirt: Delias
Jeans: Mr. Price (Kenya)
Shoes: Papaya

I love this sweatshirt! It was kinda windy today but this definitely kept me warm. I wear tanks underneath my asymmetrical tops coz I'm kinda self conscious of my shoulder being fully bare, lol.
Sweatshirt: Forever 21
Jeans: Mr. Price
Scarf: Forever 21

Close up of the shoes. Very comfortable for walking around school and were cheap too...

Forgot to take a pic with the scarf  I threw on, felt like I needed a bit of color.

A few things I got from Kohls recently:
Cream Lace sweatshirt: $17.99
Navy Crop-top: $10.99
Bow Gaucho pants (Always wanted a pair of these): $16.80
Lilac Asymmetrical top: $13.00

Everything is from the junior's section. And I'm no junior :-)
Surprisingly the sizes run a little large, had to return a ton of stuff because they were just too loose.

I would love to see how everybody else dresses for class n all, that's about all I get dressed for so don't hate me for my lack of sophisticated fashion posts :-) But I do adore all the cool peeps on the side bar, check em out!
And while you're at it, tell me what you wear to class or other activities that do not require you get all glammed up! Links are welcomed!
